Congratulation on the 10th anniversary of TACT/FEST. It has been a wonderful time for me to participate in TACT/FEST. I have joined to international symposiums as a presenter and watched various performances for young audiences. It was a great moment to experience different cultures through the festival and to meet international theatre artists at TACT. I appreciate the staffs' hearfelt efforts to make TACT/FEST warm and enjoyable to international guests as well. I believe TACT is one of the most valuable and experimental TYA festival in ASIA. I hope it meets more children and young people in ASIA in the future. I will keep supporting its growth with my heart. Congratulation!!
Theatre Incline’s first time in Osaka was to play our show CARGO in TACT/FEST. It was a wonderful experience and we met many friends and extraordinary artists.
The second time was with an artistic collaboration with KIO company. Together, we created the play: TRAIN, travelling with Miyazawa. Performing a play about Miyazawa Kenji in front of a Japanese audience was an exceptional experience for us. The magic of this great poet was with us, and we will never forget all the love we received from the public. TACT/FEST is a wonderful meeting place for people from all over the world.
Long live the Festival !
TACT/FEST is a big cosmos. Our performance “Prince and Giant’s Daughter” (Novgorod theatre for children and youth “Mali”, Russia) was participant of program 2008 year and for us it was like a new step to new planet, full of new visions, new theatres, and fresh impressions and very cheerful for us. This festival still opening new names and new worlds, full of interesting and bright performances, its way of inspiration and creativity to all generation of spectators. You don’t need to have a spaceship to travel to this festival – its already big cosmos in Osaka and for time travel to deep cosmos you need just to buy theatre tickets.
We wish to TACT/FEST a lot of shows, culture events, workshops and long-long life. But cosmos never will be thinking about time. Just be ready for creative traveling in your long and happy life.
Vice-president of Russian center ASSITEJ
Since 2010, CORPUS has been a regular guest at TACT/FEST. A close relationship has developed over the past 6 years between staff, performers, volonteers and fans. The continued support we have received from you - kind, generous and always heart-warming - has been a source of inspiration for me and the various teams of artists that have accompanied me on these tours. I feel blessed and proud to be a member of your close community. Both personally and professionally, I have matured through my experiences with you. My love for Japan, its culture and its people, started with you and has grown thanks to you.
I am deeply and forever grateful for your renewed invitations.
Long live TACT/FEST!
On behalf of all of us at CORPUS, I wish you another decade of artistic adventures, meetings and discoveries.
Domo Arigatou Gozaimasu. De tout mon coeur, merci.
How exciting that TACT/FEST has turned 10! Having attended the festival a number of years ago I still have fond memories of the great performances I saw and the interesting conversation events held alongside the festival. Osaka as a city is richer for taking TACT/FEST to its heart. I sincerely wish everyone involved success for the coming teenage years.
I was a member of Executive Committee of ASSITEJ when I visited the first TACT festival in 2007. I was not aware of the fact that I participated in building up a history of theatre for children in Japan. I only felt huge energy, passion, love for children and full dedication to the arts and artistic development of children. I witnessed warm and friendly atmosphere, exquisite organisation, open and constructive discussions, wonderful choice of performances that gave me the insight to the artistic work of not only Kio company but also other Japanese theatres and companies.
I was lucky to present also my own artistic work in 2009 with two of my performances "Parachutists” and "And Who Are You?" in 2009 as a Secretary General of ASSITEJ. I witnessed huge development of the festival and was indeed impressed how the festival grow and is becoming significant part of the world network of festivals.
Finally, in the down of the ASSITEJ Congress in Copenhagen 2014, during my participation in the Symposium in 2012, the TACT festival inspired me to start thinking of change in the world organisation. The idea that was born in Osaka in 2012, gave a birth to the new structure and new ASSITEJ International.
With all my heart I congratulate you all on your big anniversary and I wish you many more years of your wonderful festival, with the wish that we continue growing together and working together on the artistic development of theatre for children.
We’ve been thinking a lot about TACT/FEST and really have a beautiful memory of it. Coming from far away Europe to Osaka and being received in a family of the festival organisation, which cared a lot and meet artists from all over the world. It impressed us a lot to participate in a festival where the artist is being taken care of so tenderly, where the audience can see the shows in the best possible conditions, where the organisation team does much more than just than facilitate the necessary. Where the voluntaries are an awesome team of dedicated, helpful and friendly hardworking people. In summary: TACT/FEST is a festival everybody dreams of. We take a piece of TACT/FEST in our heart.
Congratulations to the 10th anniversary, we hope there will be many anniversaries of this festival in the future!
Words of celebration for TACT/FEST from Meridiano
Meridiano Theatre from Denmark wants to express our warm and heart-felt CONGRATULATIONS on the celebration of the 10th year anniversary of TACT/FEST.
Meridiano has visited and been part of TACT/FEST five times out of ten.
First time was in 2008 with our multimedia puppet show GENESIS. Our first meeting with this highly professional international festival, with the warm-hearted TACT/FEST staff and all its dedicated volunteers and not the least with the beautiful Japanese audience who after the show greeted us with tears in their eyes… all this was for us a truly magnificent experience and we were more than pleased to come back again and again on several occasions with new productions: ROBINSON & CRUSOE in 2010, ANIMA in 2012, ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD in 2014 and finally in 2015 with BAKU – the mind blowing co-production we have been so lucky to create with Kio Company from Osaka.
We certainly feel closely connected to your wonderful festival and to all of you dear most valuable friends and we feel that we have been there with you almost from the beginning giving us the possibility to share precious moments with you and to see your festival grow, change and flourish spreading from Osaka to more cities and to new exciting locations… Biwako, Matsumoto, Tokyo, Niigata and Kawanehoncho… Every time giving us the possibility to see new wonderful parts of your country meeting new people and making new long last friendships.
Wishing you all the success in the world we send you a heart-felt THANK YOU and a big HURRAH!
Dear TACT/FEST festival,
It is a great pleasure for me to be able to express my sincere feelings and admiration for your event.
I have been there a couple of times - and both times enjoyed the atmosphere and kindness as well as the quality of the program a lot.
During one of my visits I was invited to speak during a round-table discussion. The response was very positive and engaging.
I highly recommend the festival to friends and colleagues around the world. And I sincerely hope to have the chance to come back someday in the near future.
I wish you all the best!
Good time in TACT/FEST
In August 2012, I was invited by TACT/FEST being the panelist of International Symposium; the topic was “Theatre for Young Audience Research”. During that period I went to see many performances which were fabulous arrangement. Also, in the time of symposium, we had wonderful dialogues with participants who really care about the arts education or experience for young generation. From the festival activities, it is truth that arts provide good opportunity for all participants to emerge feeling in that moment and to know the world in different perspective. Thanks to TACT/FEST.
My experience of working with and being at TACT/FEST has always been good. It is always a privilege to work with such a dedicated festival and with colleagues who commit themselves in the work of making a truly great festival. TACT/FEST is also an opportunity to meet with colleagues fro japan and from all over the world. I look forward to return to TACT/FEST in the future and to take part of your great hospitality!
I hope the Festival goes on for other 10 and 10 and 10 and 10 and 10 and 10 and 10 and 10 and 10 and ..... years....... for all the children from Osaka!
A big hug
Dear TACT FEST
On two occasions, in the years 2007 and 2010, we had the good fortune to perform our play ‘Nobody is called Elise’ for you and your marvelous festival TACT/FEST. We have fond memories of the warm hospitality with which we were welcomed. From the very beginning we felt treated as friends. And we also well remember the positive energy with which you ventured to explore new terrain.
In the time since our two visits, the influence and reputation of your Festival has spread well beyond the city of Osaka, as you have managed to present an exceptionally good festival program while keeping your feet firmly on the ground. In these times, where the media determine the tempo, we need spaces where time can stand still, where time may be turned back and where time must be pushed on. We need Theatre! Keep your curiosity alive for everything which moves you and keep up the good work. See you again!
With best wishes for your future
